Grohote

Grohote

Grohote is considered to be the main village on the island of Solta from ancient times. It is situated in the middle of the island, at the cross-roads of the main road of Solta, and the nearest coast is 2 km away (in Rogac). The village offers a peaceful vacation while it has not been adapted to guests who are looking for fun.

This traditional "old world" village of stone houses, linked by narrow streets and paths, sits at the intersection of the winding road leading up from Rogac(the main ferry port) and the main road, running east-west that links all other villages on Solta.
